...my engine has one installed..multi layer metal cometic head gasket...what is the most BHP you can get out of em before blowing....this current one has covered 5000 miles at 380 - 400bhp......how much longer at 600ish bhp?
I aint changing it till it blows!

Phil - if this is on your Saph then am i right in thinking its one of Sheadys' engines?
I think it's a bit of an open ended question as with a poorly/incorrectly prepped block/head then the integrity of the gasket will be weakened.
However, with the engine builder in question - i imagine all the prep work will have been carried out to a high level and therefore you'll probably get good longevity/power figures out of it

As said really.
Some GRP A's last ages, some don't - at least the cometic shouldn't rot.
