cause hes running a bigger turbo
what chip is trying to explain is that if a t34 with .48 cant do over 26psi at high revs then fitting bigger injectors wont help that,,,,, if you add more fuel to that boost you will lose power to a point
but then i also remember my cossie was holding 26.5psi to the limiter and that ran lean after 6300 in 4th and 5th gear i was told so i would have made more power top end with blues
but as i never drove past 140 in the car ever there was no fooking point
not to mention everyone says i change gear like a mini cab driver so never hit 6krpm when booting it

you are saying that because an injector has a higher flow rate,that as soon as it's added to an engine the power increases?
if you add light blues to a greens spec map the power will drop,as chip says above! as well as running shite.
power increases as the AFR goes lean,and drops as it richens!
but just beacuse a car has greys over greens does not necessarily mean it's more powerful,in fact i know of one car running 300bhp on greys....it just all depends how the car is mapped/setup if it's running fine and the injector is not maxed out,then there is no reason to increase the injector size to gain power!

The ONLY time there is any point going to bigger injectors is if you run more boost too, thats why your mate is making more power than you, he is making more boost at the top end than you are.

what the fook iz going on....???? i never questioned fookin AFR readings.... i just stated my power figures on greens.. my pal runs l/blues (so do i now) and he runs more boost (and power),different map, yes, thats it.... r u all sniffing GLUE or something, just trying to give the lad some figures thats all. no wonder dingy calls everyone to55ers,when u just start assuming shit i havn't said

Reality,
The reason for the boost tailing off is due to the engine become more efficient than the turbo at high rpm and it is therefore consuming everything the turbo can provide and then some, so the boost tails off.

best bet is to speak to you're tuner...but bigger turbo,inlet cam,big fat injectors,re-map......but then the transmision shits its self,so where do u stop...???? the choice is yours

i really want to keep the .48, it is really good for road use, and round town where i use it most, the pistons wernt pocketed when i had them dished but i may be able to run a bd14, as the dish comes out quite far on the surface of the piston, would have to do a dummy build....... wouldnt greys need a live map?

i wouldnt reckomend using a bd14 without pockets tbh. Greys dont need a live map. I'm still on the L6 which obviously cant me live mapped.
