Default Nissan 350Z

Anyone got one or know much about them?

A mate's thinking of getting one and I just thought I'd ask on here.

Any information appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This is my Dad's old one...

He had 19" Antera's and the Veilside Type 1 kit on, looked AWESOME, got loads of attention!

It handled just like a little go-kart but tbh was disapointing in terms of speed.

Give one a try though, awesome fun!

Look good, nice to drive, not mega fast but far from slow. Infact they fast for a standard car. Sound nice, handle nice, just great all rounders really.

Ive driven a few and like them a lot, convirtible not as cool tho, heavier too.

Look hard as fuck with the (bloody expensive) Nimso optional kit, wheels, etc etc.

Lots of turbo and supercharger conversions around, but as standard they all n/a.

And can be made fucking mental if you want...

If you cant see the back of the car (and you can see the back half anyhow!), but could see it had a Silvia front, why think its anything but a Silvia?

Thats like me seeing the front of a base model Mk1 Sierra and thinking it was a Ferrari F50 with a Sierra front end conversion.

my bad
Your S13 looks alright. My bro has got a S13 facelift model and it is surprisingly quick considering its only got a saab FMIC and a Blitz Lm air filter. He has 2 gauges inside the car and 17" wheels.

Shame they don't do seats in the back suitable for small children - even the old S14 200sx could be a 'sometime family car'

Thanks for all the replies guys.

Keep them coming please.

I thought they had a turbo and backseats (like a TT) so it shows how much I know about them!

But S14s are sporty coupes, this is a Z car to take over from the 300ZX rather than them (its a Z33, the last shape 300ZX was a Z32, and so on), and Z cars never have much in the way of rear seats.

If you want rear seats get an S15 Silvia, rarer and cooler IMO, and made em till 2002 so can get a pretty new one.

Or get a V35 Skyline, its basically a 350Z underneath but a lil bit more room.

I had a brand spanker for a week (demo car) it was a rag top, they are a really good car for the money i loved the steering on mine it was rather heavy and when the traction control gets turned off its more fun than a 2wd saph imo !

I had a thrash with one coming back down the A50 from Blackpool on Monday and although it wasn't as quick as the Evo it certainly wasn't lagging behind much

nice cars

All very true - I just think Nissan have 'missed a trick' by not including 2 small buckets suitable for kids.
I'm sure they are very happy with sales but round here it is surprising how many women have TT's/ RX8s/3 series coupes as their car and then you see Dad driving it with her and the kids at weekends as a change from the Mondeo etc.
I know they've got a big rear brace but I'm surprised they didn't engineer 2 small seats in as well..................
..................as Mike R would say, even the sporty 911's have 4 seats!

too quiet inside

who ever said there speed was bad aint driven one though, the fastest ive ever driven in any car was in a 350z and i hit the limiter in 5th gear ( never realised the speed,,,,,, and forgot it hand 6 gears too )

there fooking mint cars,,,,,,,, cant pose in one though as the door is too high,,,, fooking nice cars though still

not quick on acceleration but tbh ive had a saleman drift a demo model round a roundabout and hes stuck it right out proper and it went well

shame when i attempted it i wasnt as good

dash set up and seats is almost like a rx8 ive found,,,,,, now there really underpowered cars for what you think, they actually feel like there missing power un like the 350z that feels fine

ive driven a gt model and apart from the manky yellow paint it didnt feel quicker tbh,,,,,,, and i drove the last fucking one available to scotland,,,,, that is a drive i would do again,,,,, got there and never felt fucked or tired so for a long hack there a nice car too,,,,,, again there very quiet inside so i guess that helped

Why are they so boring to drive?

The second hand prices seem to be staying quite strong for 2-3 year old cars, you always lose a fair percentage when you buy new though.

He went to look at one at the weekend and I don't think he's too keen on them now.

He's still got a test drive booked but I doubt he'll get one in the end.

Needs another 50-60 bhp and then it would be Ok, they are to soft and dont give you much pleasure in driving them it is not a drivers car more of a poser car.

I had a EVO6 for 3 years then went to the 350Z for juts 11 months then went back to a EVO 9 FQ340 Much better then the 350Z
