Default Overfuelling does it cause Smoke

If your car is overfuellig will it somrtimes cause excessive smoke out of the exhaust.

if its black its fuel,mine does it on gear change and let off. if it a different colour theres prob other issues.

Yes it will, chance are it will be black smoke, if its blue then you have more urgent things to worry about matey.

Yes it can cause smoke.

Blue smoke is oil.
White smoke is water.
Black smoke is partially burnt fuel.
Grey smoke is unburnt fuel.

yes - a rich mixture can cause blue smoke too, as it mixes with oil and then burns.

Unburt feul = Black smoke. And flames mine does it all the time

mine used to have lots of grey dusty smoke and so i took it to msd expecting the " its your rings" ect reply


he confirmed it was just fuel due to a crap chip and TOO LITTLE BOOST


Anyway i also had a issue with 6 foot flames on quick gear changes and so stu also said that it was prob down to fuel ( he could have said it in a patronising way too but he never )


so a new chip by stu was fitted and it never flamed as much on gear changes and the smoke almost stopped ( it smoked a tiny bit after when ragging it,,, show me a cossie that dont and il show you 4 that does )


all was great till the engine decided that it wanted oil in it when doign donuts

that was the last time i drove it

A quick puff of black during gear changes is not a bad thing..
