Can you fit a coil pack without using an ecu?

forgot to mention it's to fit on a mk3 escort and dont want to change the loom.

Depends what its for luminition do a kit for a pinto called i-fire still uses the dizzy for the advance curve but also uses a coil pack.

for ohv and pinto's Ł300

i have done a zetec conversion. Im currently using an 8 valve head but want to use the 16 valve.Im using carb so i dont need all the injection shit.

you dont wanna change the loom but you wanna fit the coil pack,,,,,,,,,, if you dont want the car to spark then yes otherwise its loom swop me freind

you MAY be able to get awy with a 1300hcs engine as i think thats carb and coilpack

i could be wrong though as its been years ssince i opned the bonnet on one of them

As he said, mk3 fiestas/mk5 escorts carb'd models are a good source of parts.

You'll need the coil pack, module and a few sensers, a crank position senser-1.8cvh parts maybe?- and a few wiring mods and you'll be sorted.

Someone said above, if it was possible everyone would be doing it, well, they are in the kit-car zetec conversion world.
