Normally ie remembers the size of the last window that you closed.

Try opening IE to a decent size, clsoing it, then going back in and opening a new window?

Right it seems to be that if i close a small box and reopen with the IE quicklaunch then i get a full size screen. If i click a link or open my email inbox from MSN then i get a small box

The maximise button on mine is a single sqaure thingy, then all i did was stretch the page out to the size i wanted and now it always opens up to that size.

right i'm getting somewhere!!!

when you right click on msn icon you can choose "open email". When i chose that it opened a wee box. I stretched the page out as far as possible then closed it and when i repeat it opens to the bigger size
Shame you cant "maximise it" instead of stretching.
