Default Fitting Paper Gaskets.

Is their anything special that could help them seal without cocking anything else up ?

Was asking in relation to slightly pitted surfaces e.g. around the thermostat housing etc.

Tried some blue hylomar on another car once only to find it left a oily residue around the inside of the expansion tank ?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
