I dare say it will beat a basic 208bhp or whatever they are UK subaru turbo, but he does seem to think its quicker than it is.

Cant see it beating an R6 or similar TBH

What i love most about it is the way that the scooby owner completely misses the point of how hard the nova is probably still pulling when it kisses the limiter at that speed.

I bet he would be GENUINELY amazed if he actually went out in that nova at how many of the blokes claims were true!

Im not defending the nova owner but i bet that bloke with the scooby is the sort of person who thinks he could beat andy's corsa as well

i had an astra van once in pale blue with a 2.0l 16v fitted with lots of modifications,complette with steel wheels and the diesel badge still on the boot,it would do 148mph sat on the limiter in top gear.no bullshit,used to race tons of stuff and their faces were funny to watch,i remember on the rac rally going up the m1 to donnington and a sunny gtir was trying to pass,i was sat about 85mph and i just floored it up on to the limiter and left him for dead,he pulled up next to me at donnington and was going mental at me threatening to give me a good hiding for making him look stupid infront of his mates if i didnt lift the bonnet,he said thats not a deisel,i said it is honestly,but its a turbo deisel!!!
said to him "your cars abit slow isnt it" just winding him up even more!!then i opened the bonnet and he was very impressed,
good times when your young and dont have any worries in life eh!

had many similar experiences with my old cosworth sierra estate car,that had steel wheels on as well and a roof rack!!
