For once its not a crafty for sale post

Roughly speaking what is a B-reg standard series 1 RS Turbo worth with ~40k on the clock?

(has a sunroof so assume custom??? know very little abouts s1's really!)

Depends mate - I assume the mileage reflects the condition, so working on that basis I'd start at £5k. And that's bottom base for one like this IMHO.

yeah condition is excellent, no rust or anything.

standard engine, no wear on bolsters etc.

has those funny white motorsport wheels as well, + a SS exhaust (normal size) are the only mods.

So 5k maybe a bit more?

If your buying from someone in the know then you'll pay more than 5k imo, 6k at least!

What do you mean motorsport wheels?

think its 2 previous owners, I would be the 4th.

might be worth getting then i reckon, guy wants to PX with mine which is £6k. Wants to put 200 in with his, just thought that was a bit steep for a s1 but maybe not?

There used to be a few S1's knocking around with them style of wheels on, they are Revolutions.
As for price if its got all the history to back the mileage, is in excellent condition. Then for £5k it would be a bargain!!

guy wants to give me a few hundred, so the price would be around £5,700.

has no history for the beginning as old boy that owned it died apparantly.

beginning to think its too much tbh

Email me the pic & I'll have a look..might have others & give you more of an indication on price. However, the lack of any history is going to affect the price as you just don't know what mechanical bits have been replaced, with what items, and when.

You can look at it condition-wise, but mechanically internally you can't: when did it last have oil, cambelt, anything else replaced, etc...

I know you should get these two done when you get a new car anyway if you are unsure, but they may have just been done & you'd spend money for no reason....

With no history I would say £5k+ is too much. Pushing it at £4k without history to back it up tbh.
