Default Bias pedal box mounting..? this ok?

I just bought this bias pedal box off dangerous - reyland for the 3dr and need to obviously make something up to mount it.

will this type of thing be ok?

bearing in mind the only forces are pushing it towards the bulkhead, but would it be best to join the two bits together?

pedal box

shit pic thats come out really small

anyone

ps its a 5mm thick plate that will be welded to the bulkhead, and then 1" square tube

Can't see why not bro

best way is to fit and then see how it performs under load

That's not a bulkhead mount - it looks similar to one Brom has on his car.

Should be fun getting that to fit without the cage bar and a fabricated hanger!

its a bolt in cage tho, not a weld in job, so i guess that would be no good either?

can you see the lugs on the sides of the pedal box? thats how it mounts, not via the studs for the cylinders like i originally thought.

surely its not 'that' difficult to make fit?

why not just put in the normal pedal box assembly?
that way you don't need to worry about how it's going to hang

or can't you fit it with the stuff in the engine bay?
or are you trying to keep the cylinders inside?

lol cool, cheers!

dojj, due to putting a zetec turbo in and having roller barrell throttles there is no chance in hell of fitting a cossiw master cylinder in, no room at all.

so by fitting this, i will have no issues with clearance etc

Dan

When it was in my Escos it had verticle support brackets as well as the horizontal ones in you diagram

It was solid as a rock but required the drop down bracket which i didnt like

As long as you mount it with the steering column fitted & the cylinders in the box you will be fine
