yeah that would look nice. Budget wise something like that silver or the black one in the pic below would suit me, then i could spend a few grand doing her up! I have about 16k (GBP to spend).....

lol!! Well ill stop hassling you with questions and speak to you a bit later on about it when youve got your bits with ya!!

18k dollars sounds good, but by the time you add import duty, 22% tax, VAT, SVA, ESVA it will go over my budget

chris trying get the 22% tax sorted there are ways over it That lincoln was 34k dollars and landed SVA's etc into the uk for 27k GBP.

The F150 's vary in price depending where u are aswell. SOme places cars are cheaper other SUV's are cheaper, and some places a 4wd car is cheaper than 2wd,then drive 100miles and its the other way round

And if your of to america id wait and see all the other models u can get as the yanks think the F150 is ok but there are better looking trucks, even toyota do one which looks the bollix and we dont get it, also the new nissan titan looks awesome

see what you mean about looking out there but its resale as well which worries me. At least with the lightning / rams, they are known and should resell.

I wouldn't mind looking around at some garages etc, but its knowing where to look. Ive been searching the net but no luck

Just to clarify a couple of things.

The F150 SVT lightning is only one model.

The 99 model has 360 bhp and 450lb/ft
The 00 onwards had 380bhp and 450lb/ft

They changed to a different supercharger after the first year, the early ones were prone to leaking thru the intercooler and had a recall.

It is only avaliable in 2 door and the only options avaliable are a bedliner and tonneau cover.

SVT stands for Special Vehicle Team

The Lightnings that weren't built by SVT were the Gen 1 which had a 5.7l and 240bhp

The Lightnings are built on the same production line as normal F150's in Canada and are then shipped to SVT for the transformation into the fire breather they are.

The Harley F150 was first released as a modded Supercrew with all the leather etc as seen here

The 2002 onwards inc the 100th aniversery edition (Silver/black) were full crew cabbed and fitted with the same 5.4l Supercharged engine as the Lightning albeit with only 340bhp
