Default ~PAS question ~

have discovered a power steering fluid leak and have the hose off to replace it (will call the breakers to find another)

now......whats the name of the fluid to refill it with when fitting? is it juast ATF fluid or is there some thing more specific i should look for?

also, how do you bleed the system, after filling it up, just go from lock to lock, or is there another way?

cheers

atf is fine..... to bleed it its best to work it lock to lock with the engine off first or the air can damage the pump, maybe easier to jack it up for this, then get it running lock to lock a few times and top up the level.

its on axle stands with no front wheels at the minute.

so turn it lock to lock with engine off? and then start it up and check the level?

cheers
