Depends mate, you need to strip the wheel bearings/spindle out and have a look, for this you need cone spanners. Hold cone (the one under the locking nut) with the cone spanner, then loosen the locknut, take thet off plus the washer, and cone.
Then you should see your bearings, gently remove the spindle from the side youve not been working on. Remove the bearings from the cups there should be 11 either side, inspect cup races for excessive pitting/ scoring, also inspect the bearings for same.
Chances are if you dont service your wheels regularly, then the are fucked, you can replace the bearings and cones but if cup races are pitted you are papering over the cracks.
TBH you are better buying a new wheel from fleabay

As Matt says - is the bearing cartridge a sealed unit ? If so, not serviceable mate..............

Right, will get a pic up later on, but it is only a secondhand bike i bought off a mate for 70 nicker, is it worth repairing/new wheel...?

Went to pull away from a stop, put some presure on the pedal and it just clicked and wheel went wonky and has broken away from the spindle and all the ball bearings are showing..............

Arse why do these things always happen when i alreday have enough on my plate..........
