Farnborough Airshow ....... (pics inc)
Went to the farnborough Airshow Saturday and what a really good event 
Weather started off hot but by lunch time dark clouds came over and thunder & lightning and a heavy downpour
Bit disapointed that the Apache Longbow displayed so high up doing rolls but never came down close enough for a decent picture of it.
The Jets were as loud as ever and the eurofighter doing its thing was cool.
Im not normally interested in passenger jets because they are boring, but the new Airbus A380-800 gets respect because its the biggest plane i have ever seen, and the pilot seem to forget he was flying a 500 seater bus and was flying like he was in a single seater fighter 
The BBFM lancaster, spitfire and hurricane did a very boring display but i suppose with the aircraft being There was another spitfire doing a display and he was giving it everything. Sound good to hear the 27l V16 being pushed hard and when it came into land the exhausts poping nicely
Heres a few of the 78 pics i took, what you all think? (have chopped them about a bit)

Paddy not sure what it is, think it could be a F18 
Your right tho the pilot was doing mental things with it, i have never ever seen a jet flown or should i say thrown around the sky like that pilot did.

Definitely mate! Obviously I was only watching from work or home but it seemed like he was just hovering vertically for ages would love to see the vid of it from the airport if you can

Yeah here you go only caught this small clip, it was some sort of reverse stall, where he pulled up and get the plane drifting backwards and then used full afterburn to revcover the stall.
He had it in a flat spin a bit later too

That is the new mig, its what happens when you give Russians vodka and an aircraft design factory
Quality 2 weeks of flying, I love it round here when the Airshow is on although most folks spean alot of time moaning, like they didnt know it happened when they moved here

I went on the Friday, the Apache flew no more than 300 feet all display so I suppose he flew so high due to the shitty weather conditions that day? It really did piss it down for most of the afternoon!!
The A380 is quality, im sure I could of latched onto a wheel everytime it flew over my house

They are PROPER nut jobs.
On the Thursday the Red Arrows did a fly by in formation with the A380..ill try and find some pics later.

The fact is the amount we've paid in Council tax at home plus the fact that the Rates at the showroom are fucking HORRENDOUS, but yet the best traffic calming measure the organisers and local councils have come up with are temporary traffic lights on Cove Road and shutting off North Camp [which should be bombed anyway as it's a shit hole

Franco, i seen that red bull air races advertised and considered going to longleat to see it but its a long way to go for a small selection of aircraft.

Great pics
What is this mate? Saw it a few times over the last few weeks and the things the pilot was doing with it were mental!
That is an SU 27Flanker, you are probably talking about its signature manouver(sp) called the " Cobra". Basically due to its design it can make high angles of attack.
