yep
easy to do really, the M20 engine shares a similar exhaust stud and bore pattern as the bmw TD engine so slight mods needed there for making that manifold fit.
but issues with cooling and engine temps are always rife
Ant on e30zone does a drive-in drive-out conversion for about £3k, but from speaking to people, he will not offer ANY sort of warranty, which to me, is a bit of a non starter - i'd want some warranty with that sort of money being spent

Thousands of them around the world.
Basic conversion on a 325 or similar is dead easy, if a lil crude.
Some big power beasts of E30s running 10s and i think 9s on turbod BM engines in the world.

whats the basic conversion then?
a mate of a mate has one he diy'd using the td mannifold & turbo iirc, very quick from what i hear? quicker than a e46 330 anyways.
think he's currently going down the mega squirt route as before he just had a boost pressure senser which trigger a 7th injector to pump in the fuel straight into the plenum. dunno what happens to the CR though?

I looked into doing it with the E30 i had, compression ratio is low enough to get away with it on a stock motor.
The 323TD manifold is a more or less direct fit.
You will need to bin the management and go aftermarket though IMHO

It was 200 bhp stock (supposedly)
When turbocharged it made 300 bhp with a CR of 9.6:1
After my mate rolled it, it is now being rebuilt with forged pistons and a CR of 7.8:1. We expect 400-450 bhp.
