right, using Nero.. never done this before.. basically I want a film I have to be on a DVD..

so I bought some DVD+RW's..

But now Im not convinced I have a DVD burner.. its a toshiba ODD-DVD SD-R62532..!

Ive mnaged to put the file on a CD-R but it only plays on laptop as its a videoCD file, I think..

When I try to put on DVD it says

Disc required for compilation is CD-R/RW

Disc type in the recorder is DVD+RW

now Im no bright spark but I reckon I hve the wrong disc's So tryed with a DVD-R, and the same appeared

Can anyone please help... having finally got holod of the film, it would be good to watch it on the TV, and not the pc

Google brings up nothing for that model recorder.

typo..!! it came with the computer.. built in..

I tryed googling it and it says it is a DVD burner I think.. fook.. i really should just step away from the PC

In Nero have you selected DVD and not CD.

Seems many have problems writing to DVD using this drive aswell!

But, lets try anyway... What version of Nero are you using anyway?

And when you go to burn a DVD, what button are you clicking? You need to click something like "MAKE DVD VIDEO DISC"

If you are clicking "MAKE VIDEO CD" or similar than it won't write to DVD anyway, as that is for converting MPEG or WMV file type films to VCD type to play on computers or DVD players........

Im now going to attempt it with a program called ImgBurn, see if that works..

With regards to nero, its the latest one mate.. I just right clicked on the .CUE file, and open with Nero.. then hit the burn button..

Will try burning the .BIN file now onto a DVD.. using ?ImgBurn..

Im not really sure what Im doing..

it does say.. Label - VideoCD

If it says anything about Video CD or VCD then it won't work with a DVD disc - flat out.

Mines looks like this;



Note at the top left is two tabs - CD or DVD

The interface you see is the DVD tab. See the MAKE DVD VIDEO.....

Now you can ONLY make a DVD video disc using these types of files;



You CAN'T make a DVD Video disc using normal MPEG or WMV video files in Nero unless they have been converted to the above pictured filetypes....

im now using roxio.. its burning a .bin file to the dvd..
