Default Running coil pack on L6

Is it possible to run a coil pack (got a L6 ecu) from the original dizzy pick up or do I have to make a pickup from the cam shaft ?
If it's possible what do I need to make it work ?

You do not need a cam shaft sensor to run coilpack on any weber ecu.

L6 by itself cannot run coil pack but give Stu at Motorsport developments
a call as he will be selling conversion boards for this in large quantitys
within the next few weeks.

Steve,

FYI Stu has bought the product 100% and it has been updated with
improved dwell time control.

You are truly ignorant if you think you can convert a L6 to coil pack with
just a chip

Post it all up for us non beleivers to see then

Wrong

SECS monitors are accurate to their rated tolerance that is quoted in the
manual. Perhaps you should read it.
Besides it reads voltage at the ECU connector NOT the battery.

Has either the SECS monitor or the Fluke meter been calibrated?

DazC,

If you wanted super accuracy in a monitor it would cost twice as much
as it does.

The manual quotes an accuracy of 3% of full scale.

So its design range of 16 volts full scale measurement and 3% accuracy,
This gives a tolerance of 0.48 volts (+ and - 0.24 volts).
Also, due to mathmatics and process programming, there is a round up
round down algorithm in the software.

So if the accurate reading is 12.5 volts it could read 12.2 or 12.8.

Also, the voltage is measured at the ECU connector where there may be
a natural voltage drop compared to the voltage accross the battery due
to the loom age and condition.

I would also add the monitor is designed to be left in the car permanently
unlike a multimeter and does much more too.

Better to have something to give you a guide rather than nothing.

ERIC, sorry this has turned into an argument but I didnt start the stirring.

Perhaps I should compare voltage drops from various loom manufacturers
