Default Mk6 Escort horn not working ??

Trying to get a MOT on the van, but the horns never worked.

I've checked and no power is getting to the horn.

So I've just tried taking the steering wheel cover off, but I can't seem to work out how and I'm a bit worried about the air-bag going off.

Anyone know how the steering wheel cover comes off ?

Thanks

Make sure the contacts on the wiper stalks are touching the back of the steering wheel.

Taken it all off and theres no power going to it.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Mk6 ?

Just noticed that the hazards are not working either

Yep, checked the fuse.

Theres no power at the fuse either, so it must be the fusebox

If I can find a wiring diagram, I'll try and bypass it from another fuse.

theres no power at the fuse?

that completely rules out fuse box then surely?

as when a fuse blows, there should still be current going to one of the pins???

or am i being blonde?

pulled the fuse out and no power on either pin, so I'm guessing the fuse box isn't supplying power to it.

I would of thought, inside the fuse box is some sort of wiring that powers one pin on each fuse, then is goes across the fuse and out through the wiring loom to the steering wheel.

All other fuses have power

Been using a multimeter to trace it back from the horn.

Theres just a mass of connectors on the fuse box, that why I need a wiring diagram.

Might have to fork out some money and buy a manual.
