Nah, the 16litre Volvos put the 12lt to shame...

Or the classic Scania V8... both are awesome sounding engines for diesels!

Class piece of kit that 8x4!

Last I'd heard - a few years ago Scania were knocked off the top of the 8x4 market by DAF.

Also, anyone know how the R-series is doing in the tractor unit table?

cheers guys, shitting myself a bit now ive bought it , but im going all bufty on it, starting with the chassis, its getting bead blasted this week, then painting it at the weekend

does anyone know what i can use to polish the alloys with, they need a bit of TLC

its had one fitted by powertrucks uk, they are just down the road from me, but it was done over two years ago, so hopefully any faults should have shown up by now

it pulls like a bastard trian as well

James shes lovely

Love Scania's, although as I work with DAF's day in / day out,,,I have to say DAF is my fav,,,lol but I personally think Scania is a very good looking truck

Now you've had her played with I bet she pull's very well

If you need any bling bits mate i work for Bailey Truck Parts as for the sound thing, fitted a change over valve and twin side pipes on a v8 scania today so at the flick of a switch its straight through that would take some beating, you could hear the turbo whistling on tick over

cheers cossie350, i might be after a stack to replace the standard set up, not got to much money at the moment though do you come across much second hand stuff, not bothered if its a dynex, eminox, etc

Very rarely mate, we do somtimes take brand new standard stacks off to fit the eminox ones, i will keep my eyes open and let you know if anything pops up

I only ever drove an ERF once and that was enough but trust me 3 series seats are horrendous, So bad infact my boss bought a new seat for mine of scania and its no different comfort wise, after a weeks work in it im 35 going on 70

very nice truck, Plenty of work for it over there? I run the trucks for my company (got 19 at the mo, hook lifts, skip wagons and steal tippers) coz im for ever having to hire extra trucks to cover the work.

got plenty of work paul, its really busy down here at present, just hope it continues , overwise il have to come and work for you
