Default conecting mega squirt to a batt? help asap

i had anothe of trying ot get my mega squirt programed in the car as it takes ages to put the softwear on the lap top go out side ect if i mad a loom quick just unding a live and earth would it be ok to conect to the bat and bring it in ? ( bat is only reading 9.8v as needs a charge so cant see it going bang lol

ECU's go on a switched (and fused) live when permanently installed.. I wouldn't recommend putting it on a perm live because the ECU will never know when you're trying to start the car (no pre-start stuff will occur)..

its only to upload software can any one tell me what amp fuse the ecu is fused at coz ill put one in just in case

yes it'll be fine. 10amp fuse will be cool.

ecu should probably need 13V+ to work properly

well webber stuff does anyway.
