Default V6 Nova - Opinion's?

I quite fancy a sleeper and have seen this on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUPER-NOVA-2-5...QQcmdZViewItem

Just wondering what they are like? Obviously it'll handle like shit but will it be quick? How much power do the V6's produce?

Will it be an engine out job on pretty much everything?

Is it worth the money?

Depending on the state of tune most v6's will see 200-230 ish. imo the turbo(LET)is a far better conversion. A nova/corsa LET in std tune will saty with a 300bhp saphy. Are they fast? Depends what you call fast, lol.

My mates got a v6 corsa and its pretty quick!Ive heard the 2.0 16v conversions arent far off the v6's due to the extra weight and the time they take to rev!

The V6's are only around 170 bhp standard against a 2L 16v xe's 150 bhp I'd rather have the xe engine, unless you're not bothered about the handling too much!

still cheap.

I'm doing a XE GTE at the moment and it doesn't look that good.

In fact mine doesn't have a straight/rust fee panel on it.

The v6 isnt much heavier than an XE and is a fair bit more torquey, also the extra weight is actually further back, so they dont understeer the way people claim they do.

Utter fucking cunt to work on though, XE ones are bad enough (started motor or alternator change for example)

Personally i would sooner have an LET

He's probably right.

I know of 300bhp corsas and novas runing 120mph terminals up the quarter, thats 500bhp cossie territory

In fact did any of the cossies even manage to beat the 11.8 that Andy got in his corsa for TOTB qualifying for example? Bearing in mind these were supposed to be some of the quickest cossies in the country if most or all of them didnt it shows how right your mate probably is!
