Default Is Costco cheaper way to shop?

Thinking about getting membership at costco but its not worth it if everything is no cheaper than say shopping online etc..

I appreciate everything that is priced you have to add VAT and that to get membership you have to be a trader (we are able to get cards through our work).

If I was to say buy a TV from costco am I likely to save much money?

Not really. I shop at costco and its best for things for the house like washing powder, bog roll, bulk food and shit like that. I dont find the tv's to be particularly cheap but there is the odd bargain or 2.

It's still well worth the membership though! BUT everytime i go i spend at least £100 on stuff i didnt even know i needed!

I get all my chicken and seasoning from there, in bulk

also as chop says, loo roll, washing powder, dishwasher powder etc..

also mineral water / drinks etc...

thing is its all too easy to spend loads. I went there 3 weeks ago, and ended up spending £600

still.. guess i can wipe my arse safe in the knowledge that I wont run out of any for the next 5 years!

The benefit of buying a TV or other electrical goods from Cosco is the 3 year warranty that comes included in the purchase price......they may be slightly dearer that the cheapest online equivilent but given the cost of an additional 3 year warranty elsewhere, their prices are difficult to beat.

Its Costcos committment to refund you if not satisfied whatever. I get a new camera, car battery, every year, gunna change my tv soon too just coz i can. Even the clothes are cheaper, Levi 501s about £27, Nike England Rugby shirts £17, there £45 in jjb sports, plus engine oils, waxes etc all half price of Halford etc....Plus if u get fed up they refund your membership fee too, deffo cant go wrong say. Just remember they dont sell cheap stuff cheap, they sell quality stuff cheaper.

Is macro any better?

I heard you have to be a trader to get a macro card, but not to get in to costco...?

if you buy electrical items from costco you can return them 3 years later for a new one when the other suddenly turns "faulty".
