Ive got a Nokia 6280 and i am trying to link it to my PC via the DKU-5 data cable, however it never connects!! It did for about 3 days when i finally got my replacement phone but now it just says usb device not recognised! Im using what i think is the latest version of PC Suite (6.80.21)

Anyone else had trouble with theres or is it just me?!?

 

these phones are shite, had mine a couple of weeks now, nowt seems to work properly. cant complain as i was warned about them

i have an N90 and it wont connect either, my wifes n-series wont either, fookin shoite

 

I had the same problem with the same data cable. Ended up getting a bluetooth usb dongle. Easy as pie.

had the same problem with my n70 but this sorted it

 

Tried re-installing PC suite last night and that didnt work but will try installing the cable driver again to see if that makes a difference, if not will go and buy a dongle at the weekend!

 

you sure the DKU 5 is the right cable? The DKU2 might do it.

 

Fone came with a DKU-5! Worked for a few days aswell!!

 

You did uninstall all the previous software/drivers before installing it again - didn't you?

When you plug it in, does the phone come up saying use phone as storage device ? with the option of accept or reject, try accepting it and see if it installs additional drivers and then works. I've needed to do this once or twice with the 6230i

 

Have you got XP with service pack 2 installed?
I had similar problems with mine, after uninstalling everything and reinstalling everything it was ok.
