Thats exactly my point, no one asked rob to come on here and justify his bill but he had to for his own sake, as someone decided to tell a story missing out the vital information, making Rob and SCC look bad.

Thats another good point, i am one of the few people on here who will say what they think and not worry about looking silly. And the reason i am posting my shit, is becuase i think its fcuking ridiculous.

And as for help, damn i help out a lot of people. I help the old woman at the station yesterday morning carrying her suitcase up the stairs trying to board a trian, or the bloke who broke down outisde my house the other week. I did that beacuse i could see that they were in a situation where i could put myself out a tiny amount to help someone who was in need of help.

In this case and in any other charity case (cause that is what it is) on a public board, you are helping someone out for your own sake. Its a clear selfish act. If you are all so fcuking keen to help someone out financially, try helping the millions of people in this world who need real help. Not someone who has an escort cossie, her partners got an evo who had a little misfortune that most of us on this board have also had.

I do know what hard graft is, but i also know the difference between right and wrong. Just because someone offers you dreugs, it doesn't mena you have to take them.

You seem to be missing the point.

We all went through this when Jim Galbally's car expired, and everyone was all "yeah, I'll donate £10 etc etc".

At the time, I was one of the only ones who questioned it, NOT because I was denegrating on people's right to give, but purely because it doesn't qualify as charity by its merits.

At the time, I got slated by a few people who said that it was wrong for me to criticise Jim's car fund that was started on his behalf, yet I recieved that many PMs thanking me for saying it that my PM box filled.

It's the same situation - fair play for anyone donating free time or doing discounted labour rates to help anybody out - the point everyone seems to be missing is that a pure cash donation is charity, plain and simple.

Personally I would not donate any CASH to a cause that has no worth, except make the donater feel that they have done something right, even though it's unjustifiable.

Should the roles be reversed, I would willingly accept an offer to help me out if my engine went bang, by way of discounted goods and services, but I've got pride, and that pride would never allow me to accept a cash fund from a bunch of strangers. No-one should be that pitied.

b19bal lent me the orion (now in the hands of lennie @ ltp), and a few people (whom are my FRIENDS) helped with getting the car roadworthy by donating time and effort, all of which was massively appreciated, and without it i really would have been well and truly fucked... these people in my eyes were true friends and i was greatful to have them in my time of need.

b19bal deserves a special mention as he is one of the most selfless people i have ever met, and would bend over backwards to help a mate
