Im glad your pleased Rob

So you reckon youve got around 400miles range on a full tank if cruising at 90mph? Thats aint too shy for Greys/low comp/T4 IMO. Not exactly a fuel frugal combination of mods is it?

I must say too... what a seriously nice car!!
Was a pleasure to work on her mate

Rhys,
Was very impressed with the way you lay the bill out etc!!!! A lot of garages should take a leaf out of your book! Its nice to see the break down etc etc
Not really sure what you mean by that mate, isnt that what everyone does?

cossierich330,
What boost u running?
She runs 14psi from 3450rpm to 4300rpm then climbs to 25 peak at 4550 and holds there till 7200 where she drops to 23 for the 7500limiter. According to the last datalogged run anyway.

Thanks again for the kind words Rob, hope to see you enjoying her at National day

Not by the compaines in South Wales mate When i have taken my car to places before i just got a pat on the back and said theres your car back

Though i have stoped dealing with 'normal' garages now!! as i always seemed to get ripped of! so only deal with peeps i know

well i think i can say that they are the fookin men : remeber i made a 3500 miles trip go and return from south France to Blackpool only to have it looked after and mapped by Stu and Kenny, and I NEVER regretted it !

BTW, on the return, fuel consumption was also approx 10% lower than before mapping... all this with a LOT MORE power !!!

very good BUT whats the ACTUAL mpg? i.e. was that calculated properly by filling up and reset clocks, go do your run then fill back up again and worked out properly or are you going off the wanky dash gauge. my gauge goes from 100% to 25% after 40 miles bless it i ignore the fooker, i know when i get to about 180miles i fill up again cos i never let it it run below about 1/4 tank (calculated not gauge, the gauge loves the red bit too much lol)

...19mpg is most ive ever had mind

Rob told me he used the correct method of:

Brimming the tank when he left here and then brimming it again upon arrival home...

He did the same test on his way here......

HI MATT,

i brimmed it up before i left to go up and filled it up when i got there, brimmed
it again and put Ł33.78

on way back filled it up again before i left actually done 12 extra miles and
drove it slightly harder and it took Ł26.80

ok Ł6.98 dont sound alot and if you drive hard all the time probally
wont get much benifit but over a show year when im driving steady bak
and forth shows it,ll pay for itself in a year

another comparison is my m8 got a 04 plate sti scooby with same tank size as
cossy and weve worked out i can get 70 mile more on a tank than he does
and he drives slower than me, ask stretch

217 miles Ian.
So i calculate that like this:
Ł26.80 buys you 30.112 litres of Shell Optimax fuel at 0.89p per litre.

That means you travelled an average of 7.206miles for every litre of fuel used.

Multiply that 7.206 miles x 4.546 (litres in a Uk gallon) and that gives us an accurate calculation of how far you travelled for every Uk gallon consumed:

32.76MPG overall

This is on a pretty damn un fuel efficient T4 / Greys / low comp / ported head/ BD14 engine too!

Even im shocked at that!!
Have i fooked up the calculation somewhere?
