Ok a bit of damage limitation, firstly you may not believe it but Duran is a long standing and respected member of the MLR and although we know his at times slightly warped sense of humor, this seems to have got way out of hand.
It is interesting that a recent post on the MLR started slogging off eve owners and putting us all in the same category, as up our own arses, snobs well believe me that IS not the case. This particular poster then linked the threads, why? well I will let you guys work that one out!!!
I suggest that the mods look at the IP of the posts that turned nasty and report his findings; you may well then see this thread in a different light!!!!!
From my point of view having sold my EVO RSX at Christmas and having owned several 3DR's including a nicely modded 500.
I can conclude the following, the two cars are completely different beasts, and the EVO has limits I have never experienced before as far as it handling and point-to-point capabilities. That presents some with a problem, because when it lets go properly you can say goodnight. Mine had no fancy diffs or abs and was the motor sport version. Now I know there are many great cossy's out there and I regard them as the daddy of turbo cars, so much so I am looking for one to replace my EVO.
So guys chill out we all love cars in any form each has it merits.
As a side issue if anyone knows of a good 3dr or saph 2w drive, properly modded around 400 bhp let me know!!!

i dont think anyone was seriously questioning the abilities of an evo. we all know they are great cars. but if people come on here solely looking for a ruck, then 9 out of 10 times thats what they get im afraid. tis the way of the passionford
