Default T4 Turbo damper on 4x4 head

What are the options? I've seen the Bailey three leg thingy and the Spec-R kit (which I'm probably gonna get) are there any others?

Your best option is the genuine one with the spec-r type bracket mate

No point asking Dave about heatshields as he clearly doesn't know what one is
I had mine made for the car in the pic above.
You can use a standard 2wd heat shield with a T4 but not sure about the escos one?
Spec-r ones are nice but will cost you and will need some heat insulation fitted!

Lol you may have to 'adjust' a standard 2wd one mate and for a start cut the bit off the top that curls over

As for the question earlier regarding genuine 500 heat shields not a hope sorry

Paul,

have a look at Karls thread on the engine bay pics, you can see the difference in the rs500 ones compared to the 2wd ones.

Will be a little different if your running a 4x4 manifold i guess but a 2wd one takes-up more space so shouldn't make a difference really?
If its just touching the down pipe then get the grinder out or just space the bracket for the shield out a little it surely can't be that hard

Genesis just pm'd me back Ł75inc postage for there version of the Spec-R bracket I think GGR sell the gen damper kits for Ł95 so I might as well go that route

As for heatshields I need to sort something proper as I saw a rather bubbled escos bonnet today that had a T4 The Spec-R ould make be worth the investment but I'll have ago at hacking my Esc Cos heat sheild aswell

That is proper fucking ugly! Looks quite similar to the "uni-ball" one that some one was making and flogging on eBay ages and ages ago .... think it was some German bloke IIRC.

Out of curiosity how much do the Collins ones sell for?

Paul,
I gave you all the options you muppet (inc photos ) - sometimes I think you just like getting me to type out stuff for no reason ). Just make sure that when you get one that you are specific about which damper you are fitting, as the T4 "Spec-R" one and T34 "Spec-R" one are COMPLETELY different .

I prefer my option of cutting the bracket off a scrap 2wd head and welding it to the 4x4 one - I had no choice due to it being an EECIV .
