http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=6605

COSWORTH 2WD, RS500 86/90-F 283/24 BM203

Group N Ł50.00
Cross drilled Ł74.00
Cross drilled and grooved Ł78.00

They are decent discs and can withstand some grief. There was a discussion about them not long ago and a few people posted saying they had used thenm and found them to be great.

I have some on my XR2 granted it's not getting hauled down from 140+ but the get some stick and have een excellent discs and pads.

PMSL @ IE got em really hot Didn't know disc's caused brake fade

Good road discs, crap for most other applications....although Tony says otherwise

Brake fade is caused by heat - so if the pads got hot enough to go off, then the discs would also be pretty hot...

So what discs would u recommend as an improvement?

Rick,

Brake fade is caused by incorrect fluid in the system for the application.....not the disc type LOL.......Heat is the key yes But having your brakes fade means fuck all cause no one knows what fluid you run and how much water it has in it.

So u have no idea how hot they were....

www.apracing.com sell some good discs LOL....

I had pad fade. Nothing to do with fluid. There are two types of common fade - pad and fluid. I had pad fade, whuch is where you still have a soild pedal, but nothing happens even when you stand on them. It's caused by pad and disc getting too hot. It's usually the binder resins which start to melt, and smear on the disc, causing a lubricating effect.

Fluid fade is when the fluid starts to boil for whatever reason (water content etc) and you start to, or completely lose pedal feel.

I know it's nothin to do with the disc. The point is, it's got pretty hot, and it's still ok. I realise it's not the track etc, but its a posotive sign.
