how much would you pay?
for this?
not a ford i know but who better to ask for an impartial view?
also any advice on things that could maybe done to it?
1989 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi Turbo Technics
12 months MOT,
no tax, (declared sorn)
Engine:
bottom end rebuilt in 2000 by previous owner (peugeot technician)
1.9 with lowered compression
tt intercooler + boost pipes
ss induction pipe with k&n filter
straight through exhaust
tt fifth injector and ignition retard controller
head rebuilt and ported in 2000
grp n oil pump spring
garrett T25 turbo reconditioned in 2004 done less than 2k since fitting running 10 psi
turbo technics exhaust manifold and turbo mounting flanges skimmed by qep last year
just had new big ends and clutch fitted less than 50 miles ago
good oil pressure
Transmission:
Std 1.9 gearbox
mi16 clutch, flywheel
Suspension:
Avo adjustable shocks and lowering springs
Rear beam lowered to , no camber on rear wheels
can include everything for pas convertion besides rack
Brakes:
GTi-6 Callipers
GTi-6 Discs
GTi-6 Pads
406 23.8mm 4-port master cylinder
discs and pads have done less than 1k
Wheels and tyres:
Standard 1.9 speedlines in good condition
would need two tyres replacing
Bodywork:
black
colour coded exterior mouldings and side badges
smooth rear panel
ph 2 rear lights
clear side repeaters
GTi 180 rear badge
Interior:
Custon leather retrim with matching door cards
doorcards modifyed to fit 6x9's
black carpet
ph2 black dash
boost gauge included but not fitted (although is plumbed in)
Performance:
was rolling roaded in november 2004 at 173bhp (graph to prove) although at that point it had a restrictive air filter, turbo was blowing at the manifold and boost couldnt be adjusted above 9 psi, id imagine with the spec it should be 175-180bhp.
Bad bits:
engine is quite tappy so would need the valve clearances adjusting
body is tatty (although no rot) quite a lot of little dents and scratches front valance is matt black and
bumper has holes were indicators were fitted (used to have morrettes)
some side badges missing and one moulding insert
basically the car just needs some tlc and ive lost interest in it but it has just passed an mot so could still be used daily.

lol cheers mate, im the same though cant remember the last time i saw another for sale so hard to see what people are willing to pay, good std ones and mi16s seem to be making good money and this weights less than an mi dosnt suffer oil surge anywhere near as bad as the 16 valvers either.

i think your right mate, the shell isnt that bad though the worst bits are the bonnet and the wings ideally would need changing. but theres only one or two small dents on the rest of it.

If it helps, my mate sold an Mi16 205 that was (imho) tatty, and he got 12 or 1400 quid for it. I'd say £2k to £2.4 if you're lucky. Something like that with all the goodies.
