Right.........bro has just bought a laptop and has downloaded iTunes and some tracks onto that, but his previous library on the Ipod was on his old PC. The Ipod will not now download the 'new' playlist from the laptop. I assume this is because playlist on the Ipod doesn't mirror that on the laptop ? Does he need to 'wipe' the playlist on the Ipod, if so, how ? When you connect the Ipod to the laptop iTunes doesn't automatically open liike it should do either........
any ideas guys ?

Is he going to use the new playlist from the comp? if so when he plugs it in iTunes should ask him if he wants to use the new playlist. Click yes and the old one will be erased and the new one loaded.

You needed to deauthorize the ipod on the old computer and authorize it n the new one. You might still be able to do that by using the advanced menu in Itunes. Failing that, go into my computer and delete the hidden music folder on the ipod with all the fxx folders (xx being numbers).
Plug the ipod in and reload itunes, should be OK then.
THRUSH - ipods work, dumbasses say they can't
