S1 RST is classed in the group 16 catergory nowadays. They call it "15a", as it's 15 for the power output/performance, but due to rarity and value they generally bump em up to grp 16 (or at least, this is what Hyperformance ins and Adrian Flux both told me)

If its any help im 27, 1yrs NCD, a 6 mth ban when i was 18, 230 bhp S1 turbo.........600 quid fully comp

With i get overseas usage (like ill use that right enough), courtesy car, 50k legal expenses, stereo cover (once its in there but im not a big ICE guy anyway, give me more power ), locks and glass replacement as well

The deals are out there so make sure you spend a fair whack of time phoning around and dont just go for the cheapest check the details in the cover they are offering as that can make a big difference if the worst should happen

Carb'd XR3 (96bhp) = 9.2sec
XR3i (105bhp) = 8.5sec

Mk4
XR3i (105bhp) = 8.4secs

That means the RS1600i was slower than the pony XR MK3 Xr3i was supposedly 8.8, although in mine it meant hours. Mk4 was slower at 9.2 although tested at 10.5. Had an XR3, but timing was by use of a sun dial
