Default Event idea - PF River Run

I had an idea for a PassionFord Event the other day that many users could join in with. I got the inspiration from the Tunnel Run that was run by the PistonHeads website a few months ago.

Called the PF River Run, it would involve driving a pre-planned route along the lines of major rivers, eg. Thames, Severn, Tyne, Rhein, Mississippi (spelling ), etc taking in various sights along the way, going over nice bridges, through tunnels if available (to hear the noises of our cars), stopping at a pub, fish & chip shop or whatever.

It could all be planned for one Sunday and happen at the various locations all across the UK, Europe or the World and we can have topics afterwards where people post their pics and vids and stories.

What do you think? I reckon it could be brilliant.

ps, I'm not volunteering to organise it

the SIDC do a run every so often its usually about 30 cars that come along an is a great day out, some of the smaller villages in the highlands come to a standstill as 30 scoobs roll through, sounds like a great idea,

sounds like a pretty good day out.......as long as the speeds are kept sensible......

because we all know what happens when a big group of fast cars get together!!!!

i'm not just being a lazy bastard, but i think it would be best co-ordinated by the regional group co-ordinators that would take part. they are more likely to get a response from members and stuff. also, my local river meet would be along the thames, and not being from this area i wouldn't know what route to take or what sights to pass or anything.
