can anyone find out the real name of a poster on a forum by checking his ip etc from his posts?

i want to find out who is hiding behind a username on a different forum.

Not really, you could technically find out his real name address etc. but to do it wouldnt be all that legal. If he's threatening/hassling you or whatever you could try and get his ip address from a mod on the other site and then get pet or stu to check if its who you think it is on here..
