Default MK1 XR2 brake question

Does anyone know what type of front brakes came on the MK1 XR2 as mine has vented discs, and i thought they would be solid ones

Maybe someone has fitted MK2 brakes onto it??

I ask as i have bought some RS 4 spokes and they wouldnt fit on over the calipers

have you asked on xrtwo?

the xr2's did have vented on the front but the 4spokes wer suspersport wheels which being a 1.3 had solid discs with very small pads - about the same size as saph rear pads!

look like capri ones there Mark.

have a look at the inserts where the nuts go...escort rs ones are flat, capri ones are tappered.

the dates are on them too.

the bar thickness are slightly thicker on the capri ones too, they don't look as good as the escort rs ones.

Mk1 XR2s do have vented front discs and Fiesta Supersport RS 4 spokes fit fine.
Escort/Capri RS 4 spokes are indeed deeper dished and also a lower offset so stick out.

Had RS 7 spokes on my last one......
