Anyone from on here going to Newquay in 2 weeks time? Run to the Sun 2006 is on over the Bank Hol weekend.

Obvioulsy millions of Beetles and Campers, plus hot rods and custom cars, but also millions of chavs, plus a fair collection of Cossies and RSTs etc.

Also tons of women, clubs, pubs and water pistols....

Myself, Phil2400 and Anna-Marie from here will all be there, but we're staying in a different Caravan Park to Trevelgue. Hopefully meeting up with Stu and Stacey from Somerset RSOC and having day visitors Steve (Larks) and Jodi (JodsRS2k).

Just wondered who else was going and if you fancied meeting up in a pub / club or at the Show and Shine event?

used to go years back with my family, until our camper burnt down
First year we went said camper threw a rod, right through the casing

Still, was always a lot of fun when we got down there - not sure if they still do this but we always locked our doors after the people running round with water pistols opened all our van and chucked water in

don't think i'd take my s2 for the weekend, got a bit raucous on trevelgue
But the show on the Sunday was good

Old bill are sound down there too, we went last August a load of us from on here :topL was great and the old bill were just SO relaxed

was thinking of going up this year though, it'll only be a day trip so which day is best to go on?

Both days are excellent fun, but 'show and shine' is held on sunday in tregunnel car park so you would have something extra to do.

Nothing too special. GT TDI with few mods - 18" wheels, Roof spoiler, nothing too wild. Do lot of miles working so suits me fine. Dont have all the running costs and maintenance as did with the RS. Although do miss the fun driving the RS. Mite take it as well and park up next to Phills cossie after all it is a VW weekend like u said. What have u?

lol. I only got TDI Passat on 18"s and love it to bits, so comfoy to drive and relaxing. Aircon is amazing and looks ok too. Thinking of getting the V6 tdi version. Heres a piccy:

My golfs the darker blue. Used to work for VW/Audi and was pretty impressed by most of their models. Have a couple of mates that have changed from cossies to VW's due to family commitments etc and say they cant fault them. But must admit I still enjoy the adrenaline rush from the cossie.
