Default xr3i and rst heads differences

as title

ive just bent 3 of my exhaust valves on my cabby and i have a xr3i head sat here

can i just put this on or do i need to use a turbo head?

im sure theres no difference bar s1 heads

but not to sure

no diff what so ever bar the timeing pullys

whats the crack there then

but thanks fo rthe reply at least i can get it up and running again tomorrow

will not be missing a gear this time and hitting the limiter

timeing marks on the pullys ie rst ka mfi or efi will have la and so on

oh rite o
well i got to use my pulley , cam , lifters anyhow as this heads bare but just had stem seals done

so hopefully will sort it tomoorw

heads are the same, but arent the exhaust valves sodium filled to keep them cooler on a turbo??

nope

just s1 had sodium valves

as above s2 and xr are the same
and i know that frst are the same as any other cvh efi bar 1.4cfi

no s2 exhaust valves are sodium filled as well mate. s1 dont have hardend vavle seats so carnt real run on lead free fuel. on a s1 the ports are a difernt shape. they are the same ports as the rs 1600i head

ok ...just spoke to me dad, who is at fords daventry parts distribution, in his office at his pc, i asked him to pull up the valve info for, escort inj rs turbo.......and escort inj mfi/efi

and yes the exhaust valve is the same number however they are all sodium filled! the part was revised in 1997 where ford stopped supplying the std valve and used sodium filled ones for all the cvh engines,

so if you have an xr3i head it is likely to have non-sodium filled valves in unless it was re-built after 1997 with ford parts.
