Default hello.........newby here.

Hello my name is Ryan and I have recently moved to your fine country from the states. Detroit to be exact. In the us I raced s.c.c.a. (amatuer) with my honda and my father and I dragged our 5.0 mustang.as well. I recently bought a mk2 xr2 in decent shape from less than my last pub tab. So being new to this model and the uk ford scene I have joined your forum in search of some info and car culture. I have been to ace once with some vw guys and am interested in the concept, also cant wait to get to some track days. the xr2 is a means to an end and i couldnt pass it up, but i will be moving on to a rwd turbo something. Many of the models in the uk are new to me but very impressive. Thanks and I appreciate your responses. great forum, great cars and great country.

oh yeah, anyone in the twickenham area?

yeah, the funny thing about being from detroit is at least in my case is that i actually prefer smaller sports car to the big muscle stuff. does any one live near twickenham or are there any meets close to there? good performance shops ne thing like that? and what is the story on these xr2s they ok for some twisty stuff it feels like a good base out of the box. need more power .

Welcome to passionford mate. Xr2's are brilliant in the twisty stuff. Will just keep on gripping through the bends and they tell you EVERYTHING theyre doing through the steering wheel etc. Great fun to drive.
