Default Mate wants first car and shes got 6k..................

she said to me" ive got 6k for a first car", so i said what kinda car you after, and she said a nissan 1.4 (shes 18)

I was telling her that spending 6k on a first car would be mad, total waste of money especially as it would only be a 1.4

Told her to save all the money and buy a cheap corsa sport or somthing along those lines, ok there common but there common for a reason

Sorry just had to share the fact that someone was going to spend 6k on something nissan and 1.4

First car ? Go out and buy a £500 one. She's going to bang it, back into stuff etc so do it in a car that it doesn't matter about. Get a years experience under her belt, THEN go and buy something decent.

If you buy sensibly, you could have a nice little Mk6 Escort 1.6 for 3k. Good solid car, looks quite nice.

Very true, but the insurance for a new driver on a 1.6 would be real hefty.............

Can't beat a Ford KA as a first chick car

Gets my vote spend about 2.5K and get a nice one, insurance group 2 which you can't beat at the age of 18

i'd definately recommend a pug 306 d turbo as first car, i love mine! we paid £1600 for mine and my insurance is only £600 ish but that's 3rd party fire and theft.

Sod spendin 6k on a first car though! thats just barmy!! LOL
As much as i love my pug i'm glad it;s nothing special as i've hammered the hell out of it and i'm going to end up runnin it into the ground

All its got to be is a small euro hatchback. Think

Punto
Clio
106
Ka
Fiesta
Getz
C2 (if shes nuts)
Smart For2

Its got to be a nice colour and have a good radio. Then 60 Soft Toys to put all round the dashboard

Oh and a Dustpan and Brush in the boot to collect up the broken glass
