310 is correct. Even then the radius of the calliper needs to be trimmed with a mini-grinder....

Do you provide these kits Mike? How much of the caliper needs to be trimmed? Is there a 300mm disc available?

if you want a solid disc then you are better off looking at rear discs

i was thinking more along the lines of getting big discs from another vehicle that would be moddable to fit the ford range, the possibilities oculd be endless or even a set of RS focus discs bolted to the front would be fine if they were able to fit, anyoe tried this yet?

The front kit for a 4x4 Cosworth is £487.63 inc delivery and includes, 310mm discs (grooved), bells (annodised colour of your choice) and brackets. The calliper only needs a few mm ground off the inside at each end.

I wouldn't recommend one piece discs bigger than 300mm, purely because of the inherent warping problems all these type have (ask any Focus RS / Evo owner.... ).
