yeh i was talking to the wife of the owner. Originally Rover was going to sponsor him. As a contract was already presigned before they went bump they agreed to sell him the car (minus engine ) for £1. It came with all runing gear
he then agreed a price for the Ford engine which she said was not willing to tell me, other than it was cheap

Who's is that blue Sapphire E44 XWL.
Did it used to be grey? The reason I ask is I'm sure that used to be for sale in Bridgnorth years ago and was then possibly owned by a guy from Telford?
It might be another car but if it isn't I nearly bought that car back in about end of '98/early 99!

Did it used to be be grey - I'm sure I went and looked at that car in about 98/99 when Rutters Ford in Bridgnorth had taken it as a part ex?? Saw it about in Telford a few times after that but not since about 99.

Aha I thought so! I actually went and had a look at that - Rutters had it in a lock-up at the back of the dealership - needed a bit of work doing at the time but it looks like your mate made a good job of it
Remember, seeing it in Shawbirch Telford a few months later
