Default removing locking wheel nuts without a key

hi. i need advice on how to get locking wheel nuts off without a key. there ford locking nuts & the key has broken. tried going to ford for a new key (have the code number for the key) but they can't get me one. tried hammering a socket on, tried useing a hammer & chisel even tried useing one of them locking wheel nut remover things (reverse thread that tightens up on the nut as you try to undo it with & impact gun) even this didn't work. im starting to run out of idears help please!!!!!

Sounds like you're gonna have to take a large drill down the centre of the stud/bolt to me...

have you ever done this? if so is it an easy job without damaging the wheel? i thought about welding a bolt onto the locking wheel nut but i could only weld half the way around the nut & i dont know if this would be enough to hold it, also if it would damage the powdercoating on the wheels

i welded old sockets to the locking nuts and worked them off because for mcguar u have to fone germany and i didnt fancy that drilling wont work if they are decent nuts

I had this problem, jus went n bought one of them gator grip sockets n hit that onto it. Did the job a piece of piss without any damage!

Easy peasy,hammer an impact socket 17,18or19mm depending on the size of the locking wheel nut.Once forced on,should undo like normal nut.

Ask Ford to take them off with their master set, every dealership has a master set (we have 2) Probably wont charge you for it either

tried this. in the past done this with locking nuts & had no problems. this time all it has done it fooked two snap on sockets

cost me Ł25 for another set of locking nuts though
