PMSL yes mate they litterally just unbolt.. 10 mm ratchet is all you need.. (although you 'may' have to take the starter motor off to get to a coupple of the bolts, oh and the gearbox shit shield thing too)

Dont go for the 3 peice gaskets when reffiting

Lower exhaust
Remove starter.
remove gearbox flywheel cover.
10mm sockets and long extension for sump studs.
When refitting tighten in a diagonally spaced out sequence and dont overtighten!

Ah well, sump came off last night. Yes, the new owner did keep this car clean.................... shame the cunt didnt know what an oil change was

Fuckin sump was full of shite so everytime i booted it, all the crap went into the little gauze filter on the pick up and blocked it, hence no oil at top end but then starting fine the next day.

Wankers

So, new oil pump and a full flush being done today and will be out on the road ready for a thrashing tonight

Don't refit it with gasket jizz if you can help it....if you use a rubber gasket, make sure the surfaces are TOTALLY clean from oil and it will seal...

People lace the gaskets with jizz and it squeezes out into the sump and the pump sucks it up.....it's alright in moderation but caking it on will only casue problems...

Paid £7.99 from the local motor factors, although they dont seem to be able to get hold of the rubber rocker gasket for me which I really want.
