Default solid lifters in a 1600cvh turbo

what exact advantage would having solid lifters out of the escort 1600i give over the normal ones in a 1600cvh turbo engine?

few people have sugested that i do it, just wandering what advantage it would give over the std ones as to if it is worth doing or not.

thanks

James

Youd need a cam to suit the solid lifters too, cant use solids on any old cam.

I guess they rev more freely than hydraulic ones and wont 'pump' at high revs. I suppose it depends on the spec of the rest of the engine and turbo as to whether you will need to rev it hard enough to need solid lifters?
