How fast would a gt run a 1/4 mile as standard? Bearing in mind there's trucks in american with 1000+ bhp

Facts & Figures
Acceleration: 0-100km/h (0-60mph) 3.8 sec.
1/4 Mile: 11 sec. (130mph)
Speed: 330 km/h (205 mph)
Engine: 5.7 liter, V10 68 degrees
Power: 612 bhp at 8000 rpm
Torque: 590 Nm at 5750 rpm

I stand corrected but still would back the gt

personally dont think the porker was trying.

doubt the truck is anymore than say 700bhp.

Think the GT is around 630 i think?

and weighs about half the weigh of the lightening.

the rolling start at the start of the video clip the porker would have foooked off completely if he was trying.

just a bit of decieving footage i think.

Surely if it was a 9 second car it would have to have a higher terminal than 124mph?

"0-124 mph (0-200 kph): 9.9 seconds"

Quite possibly. Like I said before there's a hell of alot of trucks running 1000+ bhp over there. Remember there style of tuning is to make things go really really fast in a straight line

So a seriously modded Cossie couldn't but a big fat assed truck can

Ok, i'll put this in simple terms :

Cossie, although being turbocharged still only a 2 litre engine. Big fat assed truck as you call it, anything upto a 10 litre v8 plus super charger etc etc. Easily making 1000bhp+ Big V8 = good drag car, Cossie = not so good drag car

A standard "big fat assed truck" f150 lightning can run a 13 second quarter

i reckon it would need about 1000bhp to keep up with porker in a straigh line.

Porsche GT weigh 1380kg

Power 612 bhp / 457 KW @ 8000 rpm
Torque 590 Nm / 435 ft lbs @ 5750 rpm
0-60 mph Acceleration 3.8 s
Power to weight ratio 0.44 bhp / kg

Truck weighs in at 2120kg.

thats nearly a tonne heavier.

stock 0-60 is 5.2, doubt the truck could get anywhere near under 4's on the road.

This is all my opinion but i think that 20psi dreamer hasnt got a hope in hells chance.

IIRC that particular F150 is no where near standard and can do 10 second 1/4's so it's a long way of slow! All in all I would say both are pretty evenly matched over a quarter mile ... with the truck being quicker on gas. Top end should be more than obvious who is quicker though.

That GT Sounds amazing

I wasnt reffering to him in particular. As he knew what the truck was. I was just speaking generally about people who think theyre cars the fastest coolest thing around.
