Is it still in the centre of your eye? or is it in a corner or something? Blinking will moisten your eye up again.

well basically i just cannot get it out, i been putting the solution in my eye to lubricate it but still nothing, my eye is now swelling up cos ive been messing with it that much i just want it out of my eye!

i found out that its because of the contact lenses i have been given by my optician, looked on internet and hardly anybody rated them. most people found they became dry and couldn't get them out of their eye

are they soft lenses? if I have difficulty getting my lenses out I usually just pinch my eye more until they keep coming out. Best thing to do though if you've already made your eye swell is just to leave it alone for a while and forget about it. It will be alot easier to get out if you dont stress about it.

Haven you had contacts long?

Try and wash it out with sh*tloads of solution.

If its an RGP pull the corner of your eye, look down and blink lots as all of the solution comes out, it should follow.

If its soft, not sure, I never really tried them for long, and I found them hard to get out, especially if they moved up under the upper eyelid...fookin things! Solution and blinking is your best bet. If that fails, try and "pinch" it with two fingers on the lense, which will fold it and it'll come out.

my eye is really hurting as well, i hope it comes out i don't fancy going to hospital.

i'm so angry at my optician he said they would be the best sort for me, but people are rating them 0/10!!!!! i'm going to ring up tomorrow and get it sorted out!!

Just leave it alone for a little while and let your eye recover. If the lens is still where it should be in the centre of your eye the best way to get it out is to pinch it out like your optician showed you. But, you'll have to push a little harder into the eye compared to normal, if you leave your eye for a while and try and get it out in 15 minutes just try to get it out calmly with a firm pinch onto your eye. It's quite weird to get used to at first but it wont do your eye any harm. Try and blink between now and when you next try though

Leave it alone for a while, just while the swelling subsides slightly.

For Gods sake dont work on the computer or watch TV for 30mins, as your eyes dry out as you blink less than natural!

Make sure your hands are dry and just apply a little extra pressure when you pinch it, but nothing excessive! If it hurts, thats too much!

Best of luck.

One tip - before you go to pinch and remove it, put your finger on the middle of the lens and just try to move it around a little before you go to pinch it..

Just frees it up a little.

Works great for removing them the morning after crashing out pissed as a fart!

Remove the eyeball it won't be alot of use now you've been poking it about so much, anyway best bet is to just get rid whilst you can still get a glass one.

If you need a kebab skewer...I may have one...failing that...sharpen a chopstick...

or you could just dance around and hope it falls out by itself...whether that's the eyeball and the lense...or just the lense...jobs a good'un

I don't think I want contact lenses anymore

Was considering it, but I think I'll stick with pretending to read things and getting the magnifying glass out when everyone's gone

There's always normal glasses mate?...or have they been phased out due to competition from the hand held magnifying glass revival

Fook that? I can lose my train of thought, God knows what I'd be like with glasses!

Plus I've a sneaking suspicion I'd look like a total twat (well, more than I do already!) Leave my magnifying glass alone! Once belonged to Sherlock Holmes
