help needed!

car will not rev past the point of coming "on boost" but revs fine up till then, proper cut out at say 3k think its a sensor? any idears?

Can you "rev' through it", if gentle with the throttle? P8 does have a LOS (limited operation strategy) but IIRC, this gives the symptoms at 4000rpm.

Any other symptoms, as it could be any number of things?

no cant rev through it at all, like hitting hard limiter!
no other symptoms tick over is a little lumpy but nothing else, and revs fine up to coming on boost
