Feels a really decent car to drive with the Auto/SMG box, costly if the pump fails though!

Does the box sap up much power? Doesnt feel like it, but without a side by side comparison it would be difficult to tell.

sh1t sh1t sh1t sh1t sh1t sh1t!!

DONT do it Phil, The SMG1 boxes are a load of dog poo. Last year I bought an R plate M3 convertible with this gearbox thinking it might be a nice change to usual manual. What a mistake. Was the only reason i sold the car!!!! You will deffo regret it. Can she drive tiptronic gearboxes on her licence? If so the Audi's (later A4's) have nice boxes.
