Default Them RST heatshield things - any point????

Just that I got one here (came with car jsut not fitted) and wondered if it had ANY positive or negative effect on heat issues at all... Or is it pure bling ness?

If it does nothing at all then I'll probably leave it off or bang it on ebay, but if it does help with heatsoak or under bonnet temps or protect the leads then it's going back on

I thought that was a possibility tbh - in as far as all the heat from the turbo will be more confined to the turbo/rad area, and air coming in through grill will not be able to circulate/pass thru as easily.

But then when I thought about the other way, thought maybe that would stop the leads getting so hot and keep the hot air more away from the air filter and i/c.....

I dunno

bang it on ebay I reckon, could do with the cash

well after blowing the hose from my turbo a few times i've proper melted one of my leads! but with all the hoses on, & your turbo being in a different place i can't see a problem.

also i heard a certain mr norris say they are better left off cars!
