Looks either to be an accessory one or someone has just filled and smoothed off the black trim. Its RS alright, and if it is an accessory one its worth a lot more than the normal ones.

He's saying its not genuine though?!
what he is proberly saying is that it is not a genuine rs turbo spoiler, which it isn't .
what it is, is a ford aftermarket rs accessory which was sold through ford dealers and i think they didn't even have to be rs dealers to sell them.

the second spoiler is a Fiesta RS turbo item

the first spoiler is a Fiesta Rs accessory item (90% sure)

the both nearly looks the same anyways so whats he moaning about? As flip2k said its a bit more difficult to get hold of if its an accessory item

I sent him an E-mail, what you think?

https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...467&highlight=

Have a look at the link, I am a member of that forum, and it seems that by the opinion of multiple RS owners, it is a genuine Ford RS spoiler, as is advertised.

I've had 6 people this month win my items and mess me about. Its not as if its a tiny Ebay picture that you can't make out what you are buying, its an extremely generous 800x600 photo which details every aspect of the spoiler.

Infact, if you read the posts on that thread, the spoiler you bought is even rarer and harder to get hold of.

Also, what you have to take into account is the fact that i have been charged a listing fee, gallery fee, and final value fee because of your bid. Thats roughly Ł3, and thats without including my time & effort photographing and listing item, then i have questions about the item which need answering.

So all in all, i've done the work to list that to lose three quid! Three pounds might not be a lot, but times that by 6 people (also not even taking into account that the final value fees can sometimes be astronomical on a Ł300 purchase which recently went unpaid by a messer) and you are talking a good friday night out's worth.

I'm not going to give you a negative, you don't have to pay for the item, simply because i really can't be arsed to argue about something i know is right, because it's uneconomical for me to pursue small cases like this.

What i would ask though, is that a gesture of Ł3 be made to my Paypal account to cover said fees. I can't say fairer than that really.

Kind regards,

Spence
P.s, Said item is for sale if anyone is interested

Fine, If you're going to be childish about it, we'll do it the hard way.

I must inform you that I am well within my rights, you have no rights. Do you know why? Because Ebay will ask you when you make the complaint 'Did you contact the seller before bidding?' & we both know what the answer to that is don't we.

I gave you a fair option, and you refused it. So contact Ebay and see what they say.

Also, the comment about me not knowing my cars, come down and see my car which is fully rebuilt, wired, and sprayed by myself.

People like you make me laugh

I JUST WANT THE RIGHT BITS FOR MY PROJECT.DO THE RIGHT THING AND SAY SORRY I
DID WRONG. TO BIG TO DO THAT ARE YOU BE A MAN

So you got Ł15k? I got Ł15k! Who cares. Why is it such a big deal to sort me out Ł3 then?

I'm not at fault, i refuse to say its a bad description because it does not say 'Genuine RS-TURBO\FORD part'. Anyway, If ford hadn't have made the RS1800 Fiesta it would be a turbo spoiler anyway.

I'm awaiting some documentation from a friend of mine who has more ford memorabilia 'than you've had hot dinners', That item will be in the sale's brosure as a vailable to the RS and the RS-Turbo.

You're just making things difficult for yourself, All this gassing you've been doing could have been saved by having the decency to sort a bloke out his bread and butter for a mistake your bird has made.

Oh that reminds me, You admitted to me that your wife/girlfriend was using your Ebay account! You know that's 'irresponsible ownership' of an Ebay account? Well....In Ebay's eyes it is. Basically what that means is you should have full & total control of your Ebay account at all times.

So, what you wanna do? The odds are well & truely stacked against you. Why not take the easy option? It will only cost you Ł3.....

Again, another thing you have obviously overlooked. Tut tut. You really should read Ebay's terms.

Titles do not count towards descriptions.

Now, are you gonna file the complaint or what? I'm bored & can't wait to call you a turd on your bad feedback.

BOOM! beat him to it. See his bad spelling and stupidity get him out of this

I would like to report this Ebayer for an unpaid item. The reason he will not pay is long and drawn out in various E-mails between us which can be available to you upon your request.

He admitted at one point his girlfriend/partner bidded on the item without his consent, then when he got home he realised it was not the item he wanted. He is now trying to push the blame onto me that the item is not pictured/described properly.

May i draw your attention to my auction listing for one 'Ford Fiesta MK3 RS Turbo Spoiler' (item no:4624830177). The listing provides mroe than enough information on the item, and also includes TWO 800x600 high quality pictures AND a standard Ebay picture. Basically, he is saying that i have not described the item properly because i said 'RS-TURBO spoiler'.

The item is a genuine Ford RS part that was advertised in the 90's to fit the Ford RS fiesta, and the ford RS-TURBO fiesta, and was sold through official Ford dealerships. The item will also fit every single Ford fiesta MK3, including the Turbo models.

I have no less than 10 E-mails with abuse in them from him, which not only wasted my time, but will be reported as spam to my internet service provider.

I know my cars, and i know my parts....I have described the item perfectly, and all he had to do if he was unsure was E-mail me before the auction ended. But like i said, he was not in control of the account at the time.

I have given him bad feedback simply because i don't think this Ebay member would come to a reasonable conclusion. I would like to be refunded for this inconveiniance, which is in no way my fault. I have many happy customers, which can be seen by my feedback....unfortunately this member chose not to follow suit. please advise me what will be done to deal with this member, as i am absolutely feed up to the back teeth with members securing items then contacting me after when they realise its not what they want. Thank you, and kindest regards, Spence (FrenchConnectionUK)

That's it now, no more. I'll be going all night otherwise, and to be honest, i can't understand half the shit he is spouting.

Its obvious from his E-mails what he's like. What makes me laugh is that he goes on about 'knowing his cars' yet if he knew his car's that well he should have seen the spoiler wasn't the one he was after.

But then again, he said his girlfriend was using the account. So that's me in the clear.

To put an example forward of the situation would be to say that 'I bidded on and won X item for my girlfriend......then i found out that X item was not what my girlfriend was looking for...so i don't want to purchase it even though i comitted to buy it.'

He's at fault, not me End of

All you both had to do was file a dispute, where you both agree that the item is not wanted by the seller (or bidded on as a mistake) when both seller and buyer agree the dispute is closed (usually only takes 2 emails) and the seller is refunded all fees etc, saves all the hassle you have had here

Gave him that option. He refused.

I got this E-mail this morn:

firstly, im not a bird!! im a 30 year old mother of three, who has come to
> my pc this morn, to see how pathetic you and my husband really are!! in
> actual fact it is my ebay account, my name my bank, and i go by what
> respectable ebayers write in ther listings, if you listed it wrong, then
> accept it!! as youll only get neg feedback back from me!! hardly worth it
> over a couple of quid is it!! i will pay you the Ł 3 listing fee if you
> agree to remove the neg feedback, to which i have taken offence!
> and i have also taken the time to contact ebay, and you have even boldly
> underlined the title in your listing! containing rs turbo!! so i am infact
> within my rights not to buy it! and before you write something sarcastic
> back to me about spelling or anything else, i have my 3 children hanging off
> my arm keen to get on pc and play cbeebies, so i hope you will read your add
> AGAIN and get back to me, hannah
Replied:

Well, i must say it is a breath of fresh air to be speaking to someone on my level. If you refer to my first reply E-mail, I was being very polite, and gave plenty of options to resolve this matter.

I have spoken to a handful of long running power sellers this morning, and they have backed up what i've been saying all along. The listing is valid, purely because that spoiler was sold through Ford dealers as available to the Ford RS 1800 (which i am sure you know is a normally aspirated engine) AND also to the Ford RS Turbo. If you check Ebay out carefully, you will see people adding titles such as 'Ford Fiesta MK3 headlight RS TURBO' even though the light isn't from the turbo, its from a 1.1, but because they fit, they are allowed to use the title 'RS TURBO'

I've been asked 6 times now 'Does it fit the turbo?' To which i replied 'yes', Because it does! So i think you will find, i am perfectly within my rights.

The reason i left negative feedback and filed a complaint is because your husband was acting like a child, and was insulting my intelligence. I couldn't see myself getting through to him to explain why i want Ł3 to cover my fees. I've lost Ł70 in the last 2 weeks to Ebayers who buy without thinking.

I've bought loads of things on Ebay for my girlfriend, and half of it was wrong and not what she wanted. But i still paid for it. I knew i was at fault, so i paid for the items because letting down Ebayers is not the right thing to do.

One thing that has confused me though, now this isn't a dig at you or your partner, but if he knows as much about cars as he is making out, how come he diddn't see the spoiler was not right for him?

Kind regards,

Spence

you got a link to the auction?
if youve advertised it as a rs turbo item then it isnt really
yes it would fit an rs but it could also fit an evo or and evo could fit a fiesta
i would have sold it as a ford accesory spoiler and said in the description excactly what you wrote in the email to them "the item is a genuine Ford RS part that was advertised in the 90's to fit the Ford RS fiesta, and the ford RS-TURBO fiesta, and was sold through official Ford dealerships. The item will also fit every single Ford fiesta MK3, including the Turbo models."

this has been a rather amusing read

at the end of the day i dont think you were really at fault by saying it was an rs turbo spoiler. did you take it off an rs?

anyway i think the guys emails were a bit uncalled for but i did think your replies were adding fuel to the fire just ever so slightly.

good show, thanks

I saw this on ebay advertised as a rs turbo spoiler (which it aint) as you could see in the pics.
If the buyer knows his fords so well why did he buy it thinking it was a turbo spoiler
