Default Nissan Knowledge guru's......

I met a guy from australia a couple of weeks ago and he reckoned he had a "ute" that ran a 9 second quarter (well 9.4 he said) now he reckoned he used a nissan RB36, 6 cyl tt. now i didnt want to argue here but i dont know of a RB36, as far as im aware both the R33 &R34 both use the RB30.

Should i have planted this guy? Am i write in saying there is no RB36?

Cheers for any closure on this becaus e its been a point of arguement for a while.

Pete

RB36...utter bollox
You should have bitchslapped the Spud
All GTRs run RB26DETT as std
There are aftermarket RB27/28 or RB30 conversions

No RB36, maybe you misheard him with his accent or he made a mistake but the rest of the credentials sound realistic so doubt he would have the need to bullshit between a 36 and a 26. The engines are cropping up more and more in different vehicles here now.

RB30s arnt in any GTRs, just some, like mine, get used in them so you get more capacity.
